सबका खस्ता हाल वही ।
वो ही रोटी, दाल वही ।

जिससे आँख चुराते थे
पूछे रोज सवाल वही ।

बस मछुवारे बदले हैं
वो ही मछली, जाल वही ।

उनके घर हलवा पूड़ी
अपने यहाँ अकाल वही ।

सभी परिंदे सहमे-सहमे
वैसे बरगद, डाल वही ।

तूफाँ कल से ज़्यादा है
वे ही नावें, पाल वही ।
