उनके ख्वाब में

ना हम किसी हिसाब में हैं
ना हम किसी किताब में हैं

लेकिन सदा रहेंगे हम
हम तो उनके ख़्वाब में हैं

हमको जलवों से क्या लेना
हम तो छुपे हिज़ाब में हैं

अपनी शोक सभा में आने
वाले सभी नक़ाब में हैं

सत्ता के दस्तरख्वानो में
हड्डी हमीं कबाब में हैं

क्या बाँचें ख़त हमें पता है
जो कुछ लिखा ज़वाब में है

सारा खेल उधार हो गया
घर भारत सरकार हो गया

उन्हें मुनाफ़ा हमको घाटा
यह कैसा व्यापार हो गया

नगरी में अंधेर नहीं है
क्यूँ चौपट दरबार हो गया

बंधुआ है मज़दूर अभी तक
मगर मुक्त व्यापार हो गया

पाप बढ़ गए बहुत धरा पर
पर मुश्किल अवतार हो गया
